The following process for a Renewal of an Approved Person Certicate is applicable. The documents you will require:
In the MOP you will find the requirements for the renewal in 2.3.3
The professional indemnity insurance covers APs and Instructors in the event of a claim against them for negligence.
They have to be a member of MISASA and the Aero Club to get covered.
INDUSTRY COMMUNIQUE Friday, 25 APRIL 2008 ROTAX ENGINE TIME BETWEEN OVERHAUL EXTENSIONS
The Commissioner approved an extension to the Time Between Overhaul (TBO) requirement on Rotax engines in order to provide relief for Aircraft owners operating Rotax Two-stroke engines. The approval comes into effect on 1 May 2008 and will have an impact on a large percentage of the current Non-Type Certificated aircraft fleet, allowing engines to undergo the general overhaul later than recommended. ……
